Who are we

For over 10 years we sat on a dream and a vision of starting a coffee shop!!! Australian coffee culture is ingrained in me, I can't help it, it's what I grew up with! The quality and taste of smooth coffee without the need for flavors and sugar added to enhance/improve the taste! But more than just coffee- it's the community, the relationships and the experience coffee can bring! And so we set out and aim to bring that here to the Texas Hill Country - Coffee and community inspired by the Australian Coffee culture!

The Henry aims to be the most desirable Coffee Shop in the Greater Austin area. We believe wholeheartedly in people and in helping them to become all that they can be. The Job
Part-Time Barista/Server - Weekdays & Weekends
Anyone with previous Barista Experience and is passionate about coffee is welcome to apply. Including College students.

Your Availability:

• Saturdays & Sundays
• Weekdays as needed
• Holidays as needed

Core roles & responsibilities

• Opening and/or closing the coffee shop, welcoming customers, taking orders, dialling in the espresso machine, making high quality specialty coffee, serving pastries and other products.
• Ensure coffee quality and consistency is maintained throughout the day.
• Manage daily stock (coffee beans, milk, pastries, disposables, etc). Monitor stock age and minimise wastage.
• Maintain a clean and organised coffee shop, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure the shelves and retail items are fully stocked at the start and end of each day.
• Ensure daily compliance with all health and safety regulations and licences.

Profile of our ideal candidate:

• Experience as a Barista, working with specialty coffee
• A passion for coffee and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Shows up with purpose and brings positive energy
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations

Customer Service & Experience:

• Maintain a keen knowledge of our specialty coffee and all product offerings.
• Represent The Henry Coffee to customers and partners with a clear understanding of the business.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming environment for all customers.
• Ensure efficient, friendly service while maintaining high standards.
• Learn about our coffee products and be able to assist customers with their home brewing questions.
